Cut Product Terms

Terms specific to customers who use Smartifie Cut: cutting plans rest on your inputs, no promise of the best result, and machine safety.

Version v1.0 · Last updated: 4 November 2026

These Product Terms apply only to customers who use Smartifie Cut and supplement the Terms of Service. In every matter not covered here — including the limitation of liability — the Terms of Service apply.

1. The product is a tool. Smartifie Cut ("Cut") is software that turns a parts list into a cutting plan for bars (1D), sheets (2D) or blocks (3D) and reports the waste and the cost.

2. The plan rests on your inputs. The cutting plan is calculated from the data you enter, such as dimensions, quantities, kerf, trims, grain direction, rotation and guillotine rules, and stock and cost data. Checking the plan — the dimensions, the grain direction and the edge banding — before you start cutting is your responsibility; on a new material or machine we recommend a test cut first.

3. No promise of the best result. The optimiser searches for a good layout within the search time you choose; we do not promise that it finds the mathematically best plan or the one with the least waste. The waste percentage and cost shown are estimates calculated from your data.

4. Machines and safety at work. Cut does not control any machine. Setting up the machine, the condition of the tools, handling the material and the safety of the operators are your responsibility. Checking exported files such as DXF/SVG before you send them to a CNC machine is also your responsibility.

5. No compliance or certification warranty. We do not warrant that {p} meets the form, content, retention or reporting requirements of any country's tax, commercial, customs or sector legislation. {p} has not been approved, registered or certified by any public authority or body. Using the product in line with the law that applies to you is your responsibility.
