Frequently asked questions
Can I use it without AI?
Yes. Templates, parameters, formulas, rules and the explosion all work without AI. AI only comes in on the cloud edition, when you ask for a draft.
Who prepares the AI draft, and where does my content go?
The draft is prepared by Anthropic's Claude AI model. The spreadsheet, PDF, photo or description you provide is sent to Anthropic (USA) for this. A draft is always a draft: no row activates without your row-by-row approval.
Is every suggestion in the app AI?
No. AI only runs when a draft is prepared, and it is shown with the "AI draft — Claude (Anthropic)" label. Suggestions from templates, formulas and rules are worked out by fixed rules.
What happens if I change an active structure?
An active version is frozen and can't be edited. A change opens a new draft version; the current version stays in use until you activate the new one.
How does it work with Smartifie Warehouse and Cut?
If you use Smartifie Warehouse on the same account, the concrete bill of materials of every activated variant is used for production consumption. With the pro tools, profile, sheet and part sizes go straight into Smartifie Cut as a cut list.
Can I bring in my bills of materials from Excel?
Yes. Columns are matched by header (Turkish, English and Spanish headers are recognised). If your file is messy, you can also start from an AI draft in the cloud.
Where is my data kept?
On the cloud edition, on Smartifie's servers. On the Windows edition (once released), on your device, and it works offline.
