BOM Product Terms

These Product Terms apply only to customers who use Smartifie BOM and supplement the Terms of Service. In every matter not covered here — including the limitation of liability — the Terms of Service apply.

1. The product is a tool. Smartifie BOM ("BOM") is software that helps you build parametric product structures and recipes and, with formulas, conditional lines, rules, variants and versions, calculate and export the bill of materials for every size and option.

2. The results rest on your definitions. Quantities, scrap and costs are calculated from the formulas, parameters, rules and tables you define. The product catches some errors (for example an unknown name or a division by zero), but it cannot catch every logic mistake. Checking the results before you use them in production, purchasing or pricing is your responsibility.

3. AI drafts. When the product offers a draft prepared with artificial intelligence, the draft may be wrong or incomplete. No draft becomes active until you review and approve it; checking and approving the draft is your responsibility.

4. Recipe and product legislation. For regulated products such as food, cosmetics, chemicals or medicines, the compliance of the recipe, the ingredient and label information and the permitted raw materials with the law that applies to you is your responsibility. BOM does not approve any recipe or product.

5. No compliance or certification warranty. We do not warrant that {p} meets the form, content, retention or reporting requirements of any country's tax, commercial, customs or sector legislation. {p} has not been approved, registered or certified by any public authority or body. Using the product in line with the law that applies to you is your responsibility.
